Description
Four grotesque archetypes reflect the decadence of our world:
• The Consumer (Center): Multi-armed hybrid, eating, drinking, and hoarding – a symbol of insatiable greed, while human suffering (tears) lies hidden beneath the surface.
• Vanity (Left): Faceless figure in an opulent dress, surrounded by "Pow Pow" sound waves – hollow self-promotion without substance.
• Brute Force / The Ego (Top): Muscular giant with diamonds on his chest – power based on physical strength and wealth; cranes loom in the background.
• Predatory Capitalism (Right): Shark with a hard hat – a symbol of predatory industry disguised as "constructive."
Background: Rockets and bombs at the bottom of the image show that the "success" of these figures is based on destruction.
Impact: A provocative, loud critique of power, greed, and superficiality. Despite its drastic message, the composition is balanced, a modern Hieronymus Bosch for the 21st century.
