This work visualizes the radical power shift between humanity and nature on a chessboard-like tiled floor, reminiscent of the mastery of old Dutch painters. It unmasks domestication as systemic control.

The Pace-setter (The Drummer):
In the foreground, an 18th-century soldier, acting as a drummer, sets the relentless beat – as if on a galley. The oars lying around him clarify: nature is forced into the rhythm of human civilization.

The Weight of Ignorance:
The image is dominated by two enormous feet. While on the instep (the top of the foot) a seemingly peaceful world of care exists – with holders for pets like goldfish and dogs – the soles simultaneously crush the true wilderness.

The Crushed Giants:
Under the weight of man lie three mighty animals of Africa (elephant, rhinoceros, gorilla). They are literally flattened and form the painful foundation for human habitation.

Resistance at the Front:
Directly in front of the man's toes, a chain of cats is visible. Here you set the sign of self-will: the cat never allows itself to be fully subjugated; it rushes ahead of the heavy step or tries to escape it. It is a tribute to the unyielding, who – like the great white shark – would rather die in captivity than lose their soul.
